Rules
Noticings' rules are always in flux, but here's a handy guide to what the state of play is right now. Remember to keep an eye out for any changes on the blog.
Basic rules
Yesterday's noticings are imported at 3pm GMT every day. So photos taken on Monday will be imported at 3pm GMT on Tuesday, Tuesday's photos will be imported at 3pm GMT on Wednesday, and so on.
Make sure your photos are uploaded and tagged correctly by then. They need to be:
- Tagged with 'noticings'
- Geotagged with where the photo was taken
- Publicly visible (and the geotag must be public)
Everyone has their own idea of what constitutes a noticing, which is what makes the game so exciting, but there are a few restrictions.
- People aren't noticings
- You can only submit one photo of each 'thing'
- Each player is limited to three noticings per day
- It must be clear to other players what the noticing in the photo is, using the title of the photo if it's unclear in the picture
Scores
Noticings are awards points on various criteria, using the following rules. Of course, there may be hidden rules, which can only be discovered by earning them.
